In this episode I make a modular board for my new favorite game, Dungeons and Dragons! I just started learning how to play a couple of months ago, and I like using a board and miniature characters whenever I can. After doing some research I designed my own modular system in Adobe Illustrator and cut the parts on the laser cutter at my local makerspace. I use both wood and acrylic to create a board that can show stone, wood, water and lava. The walls are made of wood but decorated with embossing powders that look like stone.
I plan on doing a short series of DnD videos, including board accessories, a custom storage box, a dice tower and a neoprene play mat the goes under the tiles.
