What is the transmission mode of the laser cutting machine

The common linear shaft drive modes of laser cutting machine tools include ball screw, gear rack and linear motor.

One ball screw:

Ball screw is composed of screw, nut and ball. Its function is to convert rotary motion into linear motion, or an ideal product to convert linear motion into rotary motion. With the development of ball screw technology, it is one of the most commonly used transmission elements, which makes the bearing from rolling motion to sliding motion. With very small friction resistance, it is widely used in various industrial equipment and precision instruments. Commonly used in low and medium speed, small stroke CNC machine tools.

Advantages of ball screw: high transmission efficiency, sensitive and stable transmission, high positioning accuracy, good accuracy retention, high transmission stiffness, and good synchronization performance.

Two gear rack:

The gear rack is a kind of mechanical parts with teeth that can be toothed with each other. It is divided into straight rack and helical rack, which are used in pairs with straight cylindrical gear and helical cylindrical gear respectively. The tooth profile of the rack is a straight line rather than an involute, which is equivalent to a cylindrical gear with an infinitely large dividing circle radius. It is widely used in mechanical equipment to transmit motion, change the speed and direction of motion.

Advantages of the rack: The rack and pinion is easy to manufacture, relatively simple to install, and can be infinitely extended to adapt to long-distance movement. The rack has a stronger bearing capacity than the ball screw, and can work under high load.

III. Linear motor:

Linear motor is a transmission device that directly converts electric energy into linear motion mechanical energy without any intermediate conversion mechanism. It can be seen as a rotating motor split in radial direction and spread into a plane. It is mainly used in CNC machine tools with high speed, high acceleration and special structure.

Advantages of linear motor: quick response, high precision, high dynamic stiffness, zero reverse clearance, fast speed, short acceleration and deceleration process, low noise and high efficiency.
