Why does the fiber laser cutting machine have errors?

Fiber laser cutting machine (abbreviated as fiber cutting machine) mainly uses laser instead of traditional machine knife, which has the advantages of high precision and fast cutting speed. For metal processing equipment, many laser cutting machine enterprises hope to use this new tool to create greater benefits for the enterprise, including the time and economic investment in purchasing this new type of equipment. So, why do laser cutting machines produce errors? The reasons are as follows:

  1. Geometric error of workpiece
    Due to various reasons, the surface of the processed object is uneven, and heat is generated in the cutting process, which makes the surface of the metal plate parts easy to deform. Due to the uneven surface, the laser focus and the surface position and ideal position of the processed object will also change randomly.
  2. Material cutting thickness exceeds the standard
    Taking the 3000 Watt fiber laser cutting machine as an example, the thickness of the plate cut by the laser cutting machine is less than 2mm. The thinner the metal sheet, the easier it is to cut. The better the quality, the better. The plate is too thick, and it is difficult for the laser cutting machine to cut. Under the condition that the laser cutting machine manufacturer can ensure the cutting effect within the power range, the processing accuracy may have errors. Therefore, it is necessary to determine the thickness of the plate and select the machine with matching power.
  3. Errors caused by programming
    In the process of fiber laser cutting machine, the machining path of complex curved surface is fitted by straight line and arc. These fitting curves and actual curves have errors, and the relative positions of the actual focus and the surface of the machining object and the ideal programming positions have errors. However, some PC programming systems also introduce some errors. If these errors are not eliminated when the processing process drawing is written on the computer, it will lead to errors in equipment processing.
    The key to prolong the life of electronic components is to control the ambient temperature of fiber laser cutting machine. In addition, the operation of the fiber laser cutting machine will generate a large amount of metal dust, soot and debris. Metal dust exposed to the air can easily cause short circuit. Dust and water vapor will cause equipment aging and wear. The lens with dust will affect the transmittance of the laser focusing lens and indirectly affect the cutting accuracy of the fiber laser cutting machine.
