Common problems and solutions of steel plate optical fiber laser cutting machine

Optical fiber laser cutting machine, with its advantages of fast processing speed, high stability and low operating cost, is gradually popularized in the metal processing and manufacturing industry.
As one of the thermal cutting methods, the steel plate optical fiber laser cutting machine uses the focused high power density laser beam to irradiate the workpiece, so that the irradiated material can quickly melt, vaporize, ablate or reach the ignition point. At the same time, the molten material can be blown off with the help of the high-speed airflow coaxial with the beam, thus realizing the cutting of the workpiece. It is widely used in industrial production because it is suitable for rapid cutting of carbon steel, silicon steel, stainless steel, aluminum alloy, titanium alloy, galvanized sheet, aluminized zinc sheet, copper and other metal materials.
Today, I want to share with you how to cure difficult and complicated diseases in laser cutting of steel plates. Are you ready?
Under normal cutting conditions, the carbon steel cutting effect of steel plate optical fiber laser cutting machine (as shown in the figure below) should be burr free and the traction line should be consistent. However, due to improper operation and debugging in the actual process, the following problems may occur, which can be eliminated and adjusted by reference.
1. The traction line at the bottom is greatly offset, and the cut at the bottom is wider
Possible causes (1) The feed rate is too high (2) The laser power is too low (3) The air pressure is too low (4) The focus is too high
Solution (1) Reduce the feed rate (2) Increase the laser power (3) Increase the air pressure (4) Reduce the focus
2. The burr on the bottom surface is similar to the slag, forming a droplet shape and easy to remove
Possible causes: (1) The feed rate is too high (2) The air pressure is too low (3) The focus is too high
Solution: (1) Reduce the feed rate (2) Increase the air pressure (3) Reduce the focus
3. The connected metal burrs can be removed as a whole
Possible cause: focus is too high
Solution: Reduce focus
4. The metal burrs on the bottom surface are difficult to remove
Possible causes: (1) The feed rate is too high (2) The air pressure is too low (3) The gas is impure (4) The focus is too high
Solution: (1) Reduce the feed rate (2) Increase the air pressure (3) Use more pure gas (4) Reduce the focus
5. Burrs are only found on one side of the plate notch
Possible causes (1) Incorrect nozzle alignment (2) Defective nozzle port
Solution (1) Centering nozzle (2) Changing nozzle
6. Material is discharged from above
Possible causes: (1) Power is too low (2) Feed rate is too high
Solution: In this case, press the pause button immediately to prevent the slag splashing onto the focusing lens. Then increase the power and decrease the feed rate.
7. Workpiece not cut through
Possible causes: (1) Processing gas error (N2) (2) Feed rate too high (3) Power too low
Solution: (1) In this case, press the pause button immediately to prevent the slag from splashing onto the focusing lens
(2) Use oxygen as process gas
(3) Reduce the feed rate and increase the power
8 The cutting surface is not precise
Possible causes: (1) The air pressure is too high (2) The nozzle is damaged (3) The nozzle diameter is too large (4) The material is poor
Solution: (1) Reduce the air pressure (2) Replace the nozzle (3) Install a suitable nozzle (4) Use materials with smooth and uniform surfaces
9. No burr, the traction line is inclined, and the incision becomes narrower at the bottom
Possible cause: The feed rate is too high
Solution: reduce the feed rate
10. The cutting surface is very rough
Possible causes (1) The focus is too high (2) The air pressure is too high (3) The feed rate is too low (4) The material is too hot
Solution (1) reduce the focus (2) reduce the air pressure (3) increase the feed rate (4) cool the material
