2. Cutting speed and effect
The cutting speed of the fiber laser is 2-3 times that of the CO2 laser with the same power. The advantages of the fiber laser are particularly prominent in the metal sheet cutting process. It has excellent performance in the other two laser cutting machines, with good cutting quality, small gaps and neat edges.
3. Material applicability and application industry
CO2 lasers are more widely applicable to materials, while the applicability of fiber lasers to metal materials including aluminum, copper and other highly reflective materials is more in line with the processing requirements of sheet metal manufacturing, 3C household appliances industry and new energy industry.
4. Energy consumption and comprehensive cost
The photoelectric conversion rate of fiber laser is more than 30%, that of CO2 laser cutting machine with the same power is about 10%~15%, and that of solid laser is 3%. The power consumption of fiber laser is only 20-30% of that of CO2 laser with the same power, and the comprehensive cost is lower. Through comparison, it can be seen that the optical fiber laser cutting machine has higher working efficiency, better cutting effect and maintenance-free under the same conditions, but it is slightly higher in the purchase cost. Large and medium-sized enterprises can give priority to optical fiber equipment.
