Evaluation standard for processing quality of laser cutting machine

Up to now, there is no uniform standard for the quality evaluation of laser cutting in the world. Up to now, there is no standard for laser cutting quality in China. The main basis for testing laser cutting quality is JIS and WES (welding specification). In CEN (European Standardization Agency) and ISO (International Standardization Agency), there are standardization issues on laser cutting. The ISO9000 series quality assurance methods mainly provided by EU have studied the laser cutting standards and standard sample provisions, including: cutting quality grade division, standards for setting samples and processing samples, optical systems, models of price samples, beam characteristics, etc.

For laser cutting, the evaluation of its processing quality mainly includes the following principles:

1. Smooth cutting, no stripe, no brittle fracture;

2. The slit width is narrow, which is mainly related to the laser beam spot diameter;

3. The perpendicularity of the kerf is good and the heat affected zone is small;

4. No material burning, no melting layer formation and no large slag;

5. The kerf surface roughness, the size of the surface roughness is the key to measure the surface quality of laser cutting.
