When the optical fiber laser cutting machine is cutting carbon steel materials, due to the high hardness of carbon steel, in order to avoid problems, the optical fiber equipment should be checked and maintained frequently. If there are problems during processing, it is necessary to check all aspects of the fiber laser cutting machine. Under normal cutting conditions, the cutting effect of carbon steel shall be burr free and the traction line shall be consistent. What problems should we pay attention to when cutting carbon steel plates with optical fiber laser cutting machine?

1. Possible causes include:

(1) If the laser focus position deviates, the focus position shall be tested and adjusted according to the deviation of the laser focus;

(2) The output power of the laser is not enough. Check whether the laser generator works normally. If it works normally, observe whether the output value of the laser control button is correct. If not, adjust it;

(3) The cutting line speed is too slow, so it is necessary to increase the line speed during operation control;

(4) The cutting gas purity is not enough, and high-quality cutting working gas is required;

(5) If the machine tool runs for too long and becomes unstable, it needs to be shut down and restarted.

2. The laser is not completely cut

Reasons for incomplete laser cutting:

(1) The selection of the laser nozzle does not match the thickness of the processing plate, and the nozzle or processing plate needs to be replaced;

(2) The linear speed of laser cutting is too fast, and the linear speed needs to be reduced by operation control.

(3) Abnormal spark when cutting low carbon steel

When cutting low carbon steel normally, the spark beam is long, flat and less split, and abnormal sparks will affect the smoothness and processing quality of the cutting section of the workpiece.

Under the condition that other parameters are normal, the following conditions should be considered:

(1) The nozzle of the laser head is seriously damaged, and the nozzle should be replaced in time;

(2) In case of no new nozzle replacement, the cutting working gas pressure shall be increased;

(3) If the thread at the connection between the nozzle and the laser head is loose, immediately stop cutting, check the connection status of the laser head, and re install the thread.

How many watts of fiber laser cutting machine can cut 10mm carbon steel?

3000W or 4000W optical fiber laser cutting machine is recommended. If you cut all the plates below 10mm, you can consider 3000W optical fiber laser cutting machine. The cutting speed and cutting accuracy of the equipment with this wattage can meet the requirements. If large quantities of metal plates of 10mm ± 2mm are to be cut, 4000W optical fiber laser cutting machine should be considered.
