This week is our last video of 2019! We want to wish all our viewers happy holidays and we’ll see you again in the new year!
For this video we’ve laser engraved rolling pins for the Holiday season with our Trotec Speedy 300 laser engraving machine. The laser etched rolling pins are made out of wood.
We first take off the handles, measure the diameter of the rolling pin and place it onto our rotary attachment. We input the diameter into JobControl in order for the laser to know how much the machines needs to rotate the pin.
This is a great gift for Christmas, or any holiday, weddings, mother’s day and more. Once you laser engrave the rolling pin, a regular item like this bes a cherished possession.

I reviewed the machine, showed all the features and tricks and I tested the machine with a standard wood engraving pattern (power scale, interval test and photo engraving), a focus distance test, and plywood and hardwood cutting test. I also measured the focus spot size by engraving a test pattern on anodized aluminium and used a microscope to measure the beam size.
