This week, we’re laser engraving brass plaques using our Trotec Speedy 360 FLEXX laser machine. The FLEXX machine is unique in the industry as it offers both CO2 and Fiber laser in one machine.
We will first engrave “laserable” brass memorial and trophy plaques. This brass is specifically made for the CO2 laser. We’ll then cut them on our metal cutting sheer and glue on top of some acrylic and wooden plaques.
We then take our copper “rotary” brass, which is mostly used on the CNC machine to engrave brass which then oxidizes a black mark. However we use our Fiber laser the laser mark directly onto this brass to leave the black mark.
