I got a k40 laser recently with a friend of mine. It costs around $300 and comes from China. It is a decent hobby laser if you do a couple key upgrades. With a updated bed and nozzle this little laser can do a lot. You could fully deck it out and it would still only cost a fraction of what other lasers cost. I decided to show how simple it is to make some Harry Potter drink coasters on the k40 using the software k40 whisperer. These coasters sell really well. You can make the cost back of the laser in no time at all.
