Two Trees TTS-55 is a new generation of laser engravers with working area of 300×300 mm. The laser power of tested diode laser is 5.5W and it has unique laser module holder where we can adjust the focus by rotating the screw of the holder. This machine has possibility to work over WiFi and SD card over the smartphone application.

Ortur Aufero 2 with LF laser module arrives with air assist nozzle. In the review video I could test it only with vacuum cleaner, but severalments suggested me to test it with aquarium airpressor. In this video I am testing ACO-318 45W airpressor from Banggood. The testing will cover laser engraving and cutting.

In my review of Ortur Laser Master (15W) I tried to engrave some metal, but without success. Then two comments suggested to me to use mustard on the surface. First, I thought it is a joke, but then I found an interesting article, where somebody successfully used mustard and vinegar for stainless steel engraving (or better word is etching). I am also trying again the marker provided with the laser, since this is recommended in the manual.

Black Metal Laser Spray by Brilliance Laser Inks is an aerosol spray designed for marking metals in combination with CO2 and fiber lasers. Nowadays diode lasers become very strong, so I wanted to find out what can we do with 5W or 10W diode lasers too. Tested materials: stainless steel, regular steel, aluminum, brass and copper.

Final settings used in this video:
With every setting: S1000 (max power), M3 (constant power). 14 Lines/mm (started with 12), Speed variate.

5W (TTS-55)
Stainless steel: 1600 mm/min
Alu, Brass, Copper – marking not permanent

10W (Atomstack P9)
Stainless steel: 1600 mm/min
Regular steel: 800 mm/min
Alu: 100 mm/min (marking strong, but black color visible on scratching object)
Brass: 400 mm/min (marking looks very durable on 2 days test, but scratchable with sharp object)
Copper: 200 mm/min marking strong but it’s coming down if scratched.
